an endless recombination

In many ways, I prefer ytmnd to YouTube. YouTube is all, for the most part, original material. ytmnd, on the other hand, is all old material. Someone has taken several things, pictures or sounds or even concepts ("fads") and recombined them into something new. And then this new thing is fodder for more recursion, for more recombination with everything that is out there, all the garbage of the internet endlessly churned into... art?

Anyways, the reason I mention this is that it, as far as I can tell, is how I do a lot of my thinking: through association and recombination of things to which I have been exposed. As it happens, this blog is very much in the same vein.

(the ytmnd at the top exemplifies the aspect of ytmnd I am highlighting).
